When Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte hurt his ankle last week against the Vikings, it looked like it could be a multiple-week injury. Forte believes he won't miss a single game.
Forte said he expects to play this week against Seattle, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
"I'm feeling good," Forte said. "I've been doing a lot of different stuff, seeing the chiropractor, working on it, sleeping in the hyperbaric chamber. That seems to work pretty well. I just continue to do what I did last time."
Linebacker Lance Briggs also expressed some optimism about playing this week, although he didn't practice. That's the good news. The bad news is that guard Chris Spencer(knee) and receiver Devin Hester (concussion) were already both ruled out. Cornerback Charles Tillman (ankle) missed practice. Spencer's fellow starting guard Lance Louis is out for the season.
A banged-up offensive line and running game is not what the Bears need, especially with theSeahawks on tap this week. That Brandon Marshall-Richard Sherman matchup we're looking forward to may not really materialize because Jay Cutler won't have enough time to throw the ball.
